Question: What does a supernatural science fiction class consist of?
It’s listed as an elective and I’m not sure if I want to take it.
“Literature Supernatural Science Fiction”
What do you do in that class? and what do you exactly learn about?

Science fiction would be like what you see on Syfy channel. Avatar is considered science fiction.

supernatural = not of natural world: relating to or attributed to phenomena that cannot be explained by natural laws

I already have a college degree so I don’t need the credit. I don’t want to pay a ton of money for it, but I do want an actual class with actual assignments. And that’s creative writing as in FICTION. Thanks for your help. A class on the Northside would be great.

This is for an English paper I have to write. I need to pick a book that deals with a social problem existing today in America. I chose “limitations because of class”.

I am teaching high school civics this year and want to offer my students a cross-curricular experience by incorporating a fictional book into the course of study. I am looking for a fictional title that deals with government, participation in society, exercising rights/freedoms, elections, etc. My students are slightly delayed readers so something at a 7-8th grade level would be ideal.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

A biography would be a good choice as he wants non-fiction, no autobiographies/biographies by/on still living individuals; no how to/DIY books; etc. Any suggestions? The total pages we have to read is 1000. Not necessarily just one book. My first choice is Japan’s War by Edwin Hoyt. I just need a shorter book to complete the 1000 page requirement. He will orally quiz us one on one. Thank you!

It can be Fiction or Nonfiction, as long as the setting is a real place and the time is in the past. The book has to be at least 300 pages long. If it’s a lot more pages than that, im fine. I’m a total bookworm.

the advanced fiction writing class, in college?

I always wanted to write a book and so I am thinking of getting a creative writing minor. But I have to take a creative writing class in either fiction, non fiction or poetry and an advanced creative class in 2 of the following: fiction, non fiction or poetry. I want to take the fiction writing classes, and what would the difference be between the first one and the advanced one? Is it just more reading, more writing, do they expect better writing? How does one get graded? By effort or talent?
