There are a lot of misconceptions about SEO content writing on the web. For one, it won’t necessarily get you to the top of the search engine rankings on its own. It has to be adjunct to something else. Another thing you probably won’t see on many other sites offering technical information on SEO content writing is that even if you did manage to get to the top of the search engine rankings, your customers will most probably expect that the copy you present them with is of a certain quality – something many website owners and webmaster neglect.
Being number one in the search engine rankings is only half the game won. The other half of the game is that you keep your customers bound to the information presented on your website and, more importantly, ensure that they return. Luckily you can do both at once just by ensuring that you or your writers keep these pointers in mind.
· Try putting yourself in their shoes. Consider how Internet users approach web pages. Unless your website is newsworthy, readers will often only come to grab the information they want and then move on. Most of the time they will only scan through the text, something with which you can help by using clear and concise language. Your visitors will appreciate your website even further if the information on the website is segmented, meaning that your paragraphs are short and each paragraph is focused on one idea only.
· Too much information can be a bad thing! Think about it – you are looking for something on the Internet and come across a website that seems like it might contain the information you want. But it has so much additional information! Web users are impatient and will quickly go back to their search results (and never come back to your website) if they think that you might be misleading them. SEO content writing should be kept brief and simple, focusing only on the core ideas. If you really want to supply more information, you can do so on a separate page.
· Inject some passion in your work. This is of course an abstract concept related not only to SEO content writing but to writing in general and something not everyone has. But still, if you have the ability to show that you have a passion for what you do through your words, you’ll not only sell better to those already interested, but you’re likely to be remembered by those web users who just happened to come along.
· Keep it simple! This refers to the vocabulary used. Remember, not everyone has a college degree and even if they do, some of them might still not be able to understand what you are trying to tell them. Use simple, small words in your SEO content writing to increase the flow of your text and make your website content more memorable.
SEO content writing can almost be considered as an art form if done right. Even though it has evolved as a means to enable website owners and webmasters to get higher rankings, SEO content writing should first and foremost be about the client.

Writing expertise is certainly not a prerequisite for producing content for websites and article marketing. However, in the age of PLR and ‘speed writing’, the challenge may well be in writing quality content without sacrificing productivity.
Is this really necessary?
To some extent, the answer to that question depends on your own standards. But given that the nature of search results will bring up a number of easily accessible documents all on the same subject, it becomes important if you care about making a good impression with your visitors. Think about how a visitor will feel if she reads page after page with the same information written in different ways. That is the real danger with PLR material, but it is also a danger for other material if it is researched poorly.
Poor research shows in a number of ways. On one level, writers who clearly don’t understand their subject often resort to restating things in different ways throughout the same article. Or they use a lot of filler words to ‘pad out’ content. It’s the reading equivalent of eating a twinkie – minus the sugar rush.
Poor research can take more insidious forms, however. An article may have a lot of great information, but it turns out to be a composite of the top 3 search results for a given term, right down to the assumptions about a subject, and the type of information included and excluded. Whilst some people may appreciate having it all in one place, it does nothing to distinguish the writer as an expert in the mind of his reader.
If you have a good knowledge about a topic, you can at least look at the information online with a more critical eye. This can in fact result in a truly original article – original in its’ perspective, and by extension, with additional original facts. If you aren’t truly an expert on your subject yet, you can at least look a little further afield to find material for your websites.
One excellent place to look is magazines. I buy a lot of magazines every month. Whilst storage of them becomes something of a problem, they give me great ideas, and are a handy reference when I need some extra facts. More than that, they provide an insight into the type of things that consumers in my niches are interested in. That insight can, over time, solidify into your own expertise.
Books are another of my favorites. It probably helps that I am something of a collector of books anyway. But I always keep an eye out on the sale bins in bookstores. I’ve found some great volumes on topics that others may consider a bit odd, but were exactly related to niches I had, or was planning to develop.
The beauty of good research is that as you collect this information, your mind will try to make sense of it, order it. By engaging this process more consciously, you can develop a really unique perspective, one that will then inform future writing on the subject. Ask yourself questions about the topic as you read. Jot them down. Look for contrasting viewpoints.
Using these techniques, your PLR and web content will not only satisfy the search engines, but your visitors as well. And a little time spent doing some research will mean a faster writing output later on.

Lately I have been concerned about, and have been hearing more and more about duplicate content on the internet. Particularly if you run your own online business like I do, you definitely want to have good quality content on your site to attract not only visitors and buyers, but to get the attention of the search engines that look for unique content. Article writing is one of the best and most cost-effective ways to put content on your site, and to market your online business these days. The problem is that the same, or very similar content is showing up more and more on different web pages, much to the search engines’ chagrin – and they will penalize your site for it! Here are some ways to write and use articles in such a way that you can skirt the duplicate content penalty:
As far as article writing goes, there are different ways to get content onto your site. You can write your own articles, you can hire a ghostwriting service to write articles for you that you can put your own name to, or you can use other people’s articles on your website and blog to add fresh content to your site. I’m going to discuss each of these in greater detail so that you can compare each, and learn some new tips on how to avoid duplicate content using these methods.
If you choose to write your own articles, you are doing the best thing for your business and for the search engines because you are making your site stand out from the rest by making it your own. You may find it difficult to come up with your own content, but I find that the more you learn about your business, or website topic, the more you will have to write about. It’s easy in internet marketing to come up with a topic, as the learning truly never ends in this field! Your task becomes even easier when you consider writing one original article, submitting it, and then changing or re-writing it. There is nothing wrong with modifying your own articles and re-submitting them!
It’s true that other people may use your original article on their websites and make you wonder about duplicate content. You may also wonder about submitting your same, original article to thousands of publishers through article distribution services. At first, this may seem the ultimate compliment to you that your article is being used, and so it should be! You also want your articles to be displayed in multiple places to grow you back links. But I have heard of instances where your article shows up in thousands of different places, the search engines see it as duplicate content, and then suddenly you no longer have a listing for your site in relation to your own article! The fact is, duplicate content cannot really be avoided on the net, and you should only get banned if you have a spam site with no valuable content. These are things I wouldn’t really worry about.
Ghostwriting services can make your life easier by writing good articles for you for a reasonable price. This is a good option if you want to send out many articles at once with your name and links attached. It saves you time, energy, and work, and the articles put out are usually good quality articles. The problem is that many other people might have very similar content to yours. A way to avoid duplicate content here is if you just change a few things about the articles you get. For example, you may want to change the article title, or add headers to separate paragraphs. You can change some of the wording around, mix up the paragraphs a little, or even bold or italicize some text to make it more unique.
If you use other people’s articles on your site, it may be best to ask for the author’s permission to change the article slightly as well, or to simply quote bits and pieces of the article, surrounded by your own commentary. I personally like to use other people’s articles on my blog to show that I am not the only authority on the subject areas in my niche. On days when I have writer’s block, this method comes in handy as well. Lately, I have been trying to avoid duplicate content on my blog by adding an introductory paragraph before posting the article by another author in its original form. I haven’t yet added concluding remarks following the author resource box, but this is also an excellent way to avoid duplicate content and I plan to do this in the near future.
Hopefully these article-writing tips will help you avoid the nasty duplicate content penalty. No one wants their site to be banned from the search engines, so it’s a good idea to write your own articles, make slight changes to other articles if you have permission to do so, and add an introduction and conclusion to your blog if adding other’s articles to your blog.

Content writing means writing for websites. Content is considered to be the king as it is very important for a website to have good content in it, to be well optimized and placed high in the leading search engine rankings. According to experienced and expert webmasters, the content in a website is useful only if it is fresh, relevant, up to date and interesting. If the content of a website do not meet the above mentioned criteria, it won’t be able to attract and retain the interest of potential visitors.
According to the leading article writing companies, the content writers should follow the following tips to create useful and interesting content for different websites and achieve desired results:
The content writing should be done with passion. The content writer must put in all the efforts to make an article or website content as interesting as possible. One should always remember that a visitor is not visiting your site to read some dull and irrelevant article. Therefore, to create interesting content you need to be well aware about the topic and collect fresh and relevant information. The more efforts a writer puts in collecting useful information, the better content he will be able to create.
The leading SEO in India believe that content is useful for a website only when it is short, sweet and crisp. Therefore a content writer should write a piece of content with clarity and brevity. The simpler and sensible words one uses, the more a visitor likes reading it. One should always remember that usage of complicated words will not impress a potential visitor but simple and relevant information will. A piece of content which is unnecessarily lengthy and makes no sense will lose the reader’s interest rather than bringing him back to the website over and again.
The purpose of article writing should be fulfilled. It is obvious that behind each content that is created, there is a business motive. The content should be created in such a manner that the desired results are achieved. If an article is written to sell a product, it should be able to do it effectively either directly or indirectly. To achieve the desired results, one should always stay focused on the motive and never deviate from the topic. If a writer thinks that he wants to provide some useful information to the website visitors, but the topic is not relevant, a separate article should be written for it. A writer should always remember that the readers should no way be frustrated or annoyed.
Content writing should be done with style. An article should be able to keep the reader’s interest right from the beginning to the end. Every content should have an appropriate beginning and conclusion.
By following the above mentioned content writing tips, writers will not only be able to create interesting content, but also one which will prove beneficial for a website.
