Question: What do you think about Christian fiction?
I have some issues with Christian fiction. Most of it is poorly written. It can get preachy sometimes and then I feel guilty for not enjoying the book, which leads me to wonder if Christian fiction is kind of an oxymoron. Do books written by a Christian from a Christian worldview (but not necessarily about Christians) count as “Christian fiction”? Can anyone give examples of what they consider to be quality Christian fiction?

being kicked about during the first several centuries C.E.
have even admitted that they had forged the documents.10
Forgery during the first centuries of the Church’s
existence was admittedly rampant, so common in fact that
a new phrase was coined to describe it: “pious fraud.”
Question: What does a supernatural science fiction class consist of?
It’s listed as an elective and I’m not sure if I want to take it.

Science fiction would be like what you see on Syfy channel. Avatar is considered science fiction.
supernatural = not of natural world: relating to or attributed to phenomena that cannot be explained by natural laws
Question: What are the most common genres of short fiction?
I am creating a website for writers and would like to start off with a good list of genres to classify the stories. I am looking for ones like, “Science Fiction”, “Crime Drama”, “Horror”, etc. I would like the list to be comprehensive without being overwhelming.
Perhaps I have been unclear, this is NOT a publishing related site, it is more like a community based fun site, where writers can share and add to each other’s stories.
What makes me qualified to build this site is that I am a website coder and designer. All I am looking for are lists that may include genres that, in my planning and research, I have missed.

This is pretty basic stuff. If you don’t know it, what qualifies you to create a website for writers? (Sorry to sound harsh, just callin’ it as I see it.)
Remember, magazines don’t need or use display sites to find material for publication.
Question: Christians: since a lot of you agree that morals only come from god, and all other gods are just “fiction”
except yours,. would you say that everyone who didnt know the bible god were immoral?

Question: I am having trouble remembering the name of an “African American fiction” novel i read about 6-7 yrs ago?
in the story i remember a woman having sex with a man on valentine’s day and later finding out that she is pregnant. she is a teacher at some sort of private school and when she has a parent teacher meeting for an obnoxious child the man she slept with turns out to be the child’s father and HE IS MARRIED. the woman eventually leaves this job and finds a new one where she makes new and supportive friends (one being a man who thinks he’s some kind of player and himself the unborn child’s godfather) later on it turns out that the child’s father is a drug dealer or something of that sort. also throughout the story the woman has a friend or ex (not sure) who she is close with and also supports her through all her drama and who she probably ends up with in the end (can’t remember)… Any help??? lol

Question: What movie did Will Ferrel audit a baker? Not “Stranger Than Fiction”?
The baker was a woman, who ran a rather small bakery, and she lived upstairs i believe. When Will firsts arrives, her customers are displeased with him, she takes him upstairs so he can look through all her legal documents, though they’re in a big mess. Later, she bakes him cookies, but he refuses to eat them, stating that he should have to purchase them. A day or so later, he wants to give her a gift (i think it was some kind of canned/pickled good), she mimics him, saying that she should have to purchase him, but she eventually accepts them.
Thats about all I remeber. It wasn’t a generic Will Ferel movie, where he’s shouting all the time and acting like a moron haha.

Question: please rate this segment of my “fantasy-science fiction” story?
It was going on 7:55 , Joshua, Emma , Jennifer, Brad , and Johnson heard the school bell ring. Their first class of the day was a bout to begin. Brad swigged the last of his diet Pepsi, and threw the can into the garbage. It was time for Algebra II , the five students were happy to be in the same class.
After school the fivesome were walking to Emma’s house and a pack of bullies appeared. One knocked the books out of Brads hands and and another knocked the books out of Joshua’s hand. They turned beet red, the three girls looked on horrified. Brad suddenly raised his hands to the sky , chanted a special magic word grouping and a lighning bolt came and struck the pavemnet right in front of the bullies. They turned and ran.

Dan Brown uses “real” and “sensitive” things which he uses for his profit like the Church, Mary, the Opus Dei and even Jesus Christ.
Fabricating the truth and making his “own” story.
He will the call it “a novel”.
This man made his own living out of his deceptions.
Can he make a good book which can inspire every reader to be just, righteous and a bettr person?
Why lies?
Simply because “attacking the Church and Christ is a strong business”.
