Although there are all kinds of treadmills, like motorized and manual treadmills, there is another set of features out there called folding and non-folding. Folding treadmills are great because it allows you to work out as much as you want and then simply fold up your treadmills for easy storage so that your huge machine can be neatly put out of the way. Let’s face it any work out machine is going to be an eyesore so if you can get your hands on one with the folding feature you will be much better off especially when it comes to having company over. Besides, what if you decide to lay off on the working out for a bit? No one will notice if your machine is folded and put away but everyone will notice a buildup of dust on your non-folding machine because it is always out and about to be seen.

Sometimes you will run into a very high tech treadmill with all of the technology advances you could ask for, some even include MP3 and iPod hook ups, but most the those treadmills are rarely capable of folding up do to all of the features included on it. When it comes to choosing whether you want a folding or non-folding treadmill consider the fact that the folding treadmills from years ago were considered to be way less stable than the non-folding treadmills. Technology advances have certainly changed that, now folding and non-folding treadmills are stable no matter what. It costs a minimum of about $2000 for a high quality non-folding treadmill and surprisingly there are high quality folding treadmills with plenty of stability available for half the cost, somewhere around the $1000 to $2000 range.

Remember, not all folding treadmills are equal. Lower priced treadmills will not have the stability needed for an extensive workout. The same goes for non-folding treadmills too. Most of the time the lower the cost will mean less stability it will have. If you will be light jogging and/or walking, folding treadmills around $1,000 will have enough stability for a medium workout. A great example of an excellent folding treadmill in the $1,000 price range is the Smooth 5.25 treadmill it is great for walking and light workouts. For more intense workouts that include running, you’ll need a folding treadmill that starts at about $1,500. The Sole F80 treadmill is of the best in this range. When looking for a folding treadmill, you should keep in mind the way that the treadmill folds as well because some machines are a lot easier to fold than others. Some fold at the touch of a button and others require a lot more effort.

You can test drive folding treadmills purchased online by reading reviews written by actual customers. You can tell a lot about the treadmill by what other customers say about it. You can take note what other customers say about the treadmills and if enough people say the same thing, you can be pretty confident that what they are saying is true. The same goes for non-folding treadmills as well.

Controversy is huge when you bring up the subject of the ages, which is better, a folding chair, or a non-folding chair?

The Debate

The argument has elapsed since the dawn of the folding chair. Suddenly there was no more need for stationary, non-folding chairs. This upswing in popularity lead to folding chairs in all shapes and sizes, colours and combinations.

naturally, those still loyal to the non-folding chair, found this new model of chair to be strange and unnatural. leading revolts around the world, the NFCM (non-folding chair movement) burned down factories and threw insults at lonely campers in their folding chairs.

All this turmoil leaves members with a neutral stance on chair preference with one question, just which chair is the better camping chair?

The Pros

It can certainly be argued that the folding chair is more practical when going on a camping trip. With it’s lightweight compatibility and it’s ability to compact into a car, it is certainly more popular in terms of camping chairs.  leaders of the folding chair movement point out the enjoyment they feel when they are actually able to fit chairs for the whole family in the car.  Hikers have also given consent to the fact that, if it weren’t for folding chairs, they would not have the ability to sit in comfort after a long days hike.

However, their are simple and straight forward pros to non-folding chairs.  Thanks to a team of scientists and psychologists, we have conclusive evidence that supports the claims of the NFCM. The non-folding camping chair is indeed more comfortable based on a case study lead by the leading psychologists and statistical analysts of the age.  And the engineers of Engineering Magazine have also concluded, based of the schematics of the most popular non-folding chairs, that they are easier to construct and install than folding chairs.

The Cons

While folding chair activists argue that the chairs are easier to store, they do regret that they require one more step to install than the non-folding chairs.  But they haven’t given up hope. Donations are starting to be collected in order to pay a team of engineers from the scientific community at CERN to develop a easier to install folding chair.  In response to the claim they are less comfortable than non-folding chairs, the folding chair activists assert that the conclusions were bias and that their products are certainly more comfortable.

The non-folding chair members are relentless in their pleas. They insist that the new technological advances that lead to folding chairs will undoubtedly lead to a race of chair people who will overpower us with their handiness and collective ingenuity.  “Don’t let your children suffer for your comfort!”, they cry to those that will listen.

Just one thing is certain, the chair debate has grown in popularity but the one question that must be asked is, “Which do you find to be better?”

I love camping and sitting. I thought I would combine the two passions and create my own blog about my favorite camping chairs! For more information on camping chairs and their functions visit my blog about Camping Chairs
