Question: Why would more people spend their money seeing movies Like “The Da Vinci Code” and?
“The Last Temptations of Christ” than going to church or reading their Bible? IF these movies are “fiction” and IF you’re one to believe the Bible is fiction, than why not read IT??

Question: Do you like “Natural Born Killers” (the movie), why/why not?
I’m not trying to be judgmental. I know there are people that like it. So please don’t take this as a judgmental comment.
I personally couldn’t stand the images of that movie
I haven’t seen it, but my dad warned me against watching that movie, for a good reason: the movie seems to glorify mass murdering for no reason.
And I heard it was sick and twisted when it came to graphic violence.
I’ve seen “Pulp Fiction,” and I think this movie is even more twisted.
Usually I watch violent movies, like “Godfather,” “GoodFellas,” “Casino,” cause the violence is done for a reason–revenge.
“Reservoir Dogs” and “Pulp Fiction,” while sick in certain scenes, also had the revenge.
What I’m talking about is when you’re angry, violent movies tend to diffuse your anger.
From what I know, this movie doesn’t.
Please don’t get graphic with your answers. Just give it to me brief.
This movie has upsetting subject matter.
Like I like violent movies usually, for the reason many that have been through a lot likes them, because you can relate to that desire for revenge.
But this movie crosses the line, for me.

Images I saw because I saw the trailer to this movie once.
Sorry for the repetitive description, that was a mistake.

Question: Are there actual “Talking Rings” like in the movie; “The Time Machine”?
I am referring (of course) to the older movie about “The Time Machine” made in 1960. I am just curious if there has ever been anything like or even only similar to the “Talking Rings” in real life. Very novel idea. . but then- That’s what “Science Fiction” is.
This is what I am referring to regarding the “Talking Rings”- & I am wondering if there ever has been or maybe even is something like this?

I did like the movie, but it is not as great as many people claim it to be.
I like how the movie jumps from one time to another it makes you think. Then the second time you watch it you can put it all together.
Question: Have you seen “Stranger than Fiction” and if so, did you like it?
I rented it yesterday and thought it was such a clever movie. Will Ferrell, Queen Latifah, Dustin Hoffman, and Maggie Gyenthall (probably spelled wrong!) did a great job. It was really funny and touching at the same time. Just wondering if others enjoyed it as well!

I don’t like will ferrell. he’s waaaaaay too overexposed and it seems like he takes any movie that comes along, and compared to older saturday night live casts, he’s really not all that funny. Just my opinion.
Question: Would snorting heroin like in “Pulp Fiction” cause the reaction that Uma Thurman had.?
Answer:
Answer by zeldaslexicon
Yes, it’s possible. Uma’s character overdosed on heroin, which can cause respiratory depression, aspiration, pulmonary edema, and death. While there may have been a certain amount of Hollywood drama added to the movie, heroin overdose can and does cause many deaths.
The only thing that wasn’t very accurate was the whole “stab someone in the chest with a really big needle and they’ll magically come back to life”. Intracardiac epinephrine hasn’t been used in years.
Question: Which fiction “genre” is like pulling teeth to get you to read?
And, did you find a book in that genre that you ended up really enjoying?
Answer:
Answer by the_lipsiot
Courtroom “thrillers”……….can’t get on with them.
I find them boring and formulaic, and I don’t enjoy the films either.
I’ve tried John Grisham, as everyone says he is the best in the field, but I don’t like his either.
