Question: Why would more people spend their money seeing movies Like “The Da Vinci Code” and?
“The Last Temptations of Christ” than going to church or reading their Bible? IF these movies are “fiction” and IF you’re one to believe the Bible is fiction, than why not read IT??

Question: Do you read more of “the classics”, or more “modern fiction”, or a mix of the two?
and by “the classics”, I don’t necessarily mean old, I mean books with widely-acknowledged literary importance.

I like to switch it up between the two. To Kill a Mockingbird is a good choice all around in my opinion though.
Question: DaVinci is more logical than the lie in christianity. Do you watch the movie?
I watch the movie and found that the history of what “teacher” said is something that “NON-FICTION”. Like “long time ago Jesus is a prophet”, The Empire ROM and the others.
DaVinci Really connect the other religion like Islam, Jew to become balance.
ABRAHAM, MUHAMMAD and JESUS (IS JUST A PROPHET). They are the sender of god. (THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DISCOVER)
I do not take my faith to DaVinci. But it let me think about the truth.

Question by spcexcel: A good book to read? Something more “non” than “fiction” ?
I’m looking for a good book to read that was written in the last 10 years. I’m mostly looking for things that are a little more on the “non-fiction” side than just totally common crime novels, but not necessarily 100% biographical etc.
Example: I recently read What Is the What (a novel – slash – biography) based on the true story of a Sudanese refugee. However, occasionally I have enjoyed an intellectually stimulating crime novel (not just your average paperback trash).
Suggestions? Interested especially in learning about anything not based on the US – some other interesting part of the world? thanks.

The man who wrote that, David Eggers, also wrote “A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius” which one the pulitzer prize i believe. It was voted the best book of the decade, so you should definitely read it.

I’m thinking about starting an online newspaper-type thing for my town, but I’ve never done anything of the sort. Right now, I just want to get started by learning more about journalism. Most of the writing I’ve ever done has been creative (fiction) and want to know what I’m doing before I approach anyone else about this idea.
For school, I am required to read a ‘genre list,’ which consists of one poetry book, one drama book, one non fiction, and one classic. I usually read fantasy like the Remnants, the Warriors, Tamora Pierce, and similar books, or romance. Anyone have good ideas for books that I’ll enjoy?
