My son is 9 years old, doesn’t want to learn at all, but wants to read books constantly on his own. Story books for high school level or interesting non-fiction books. My husband and I are at a total loss as of what to do about the situation. It seems that he is totally uninterested in conventional learning. Also he has a real problem taking orders from any authoritive figure. Any advice?

I am sixteen years old and really want to become a doctor. What books would you recommend for me to read in order to broaden my knowledge of medicine and medical school. Can be about past or present medicine, fiction or non-fiction anything at all really.
Thank-you.

I want to get into this really good and prestigious preparatory school for high school and I know that on the application they ask you what books you have read lately. I want to be able to say that I have read really mature books (on serious subjects with more advanced vocabulary), unlike the books I usually read. Any suggestions?
(Fiction or non-fiction, it doesn’t matter.)

I’d like books that are related to teenagers, scifi/fiction and really I’m really up to giving any book a chance. Also, I am an AVID Twilight fan like anyone else in the world and world like to look into similiar books. I’m currently reading “The Host,” by Stephenie Meyer.

I’ve taught full-time as an English professor at a university–both literature and creative writing. I have a Ph.D. and have published fiction and essays. I want to get a way from the phoney-baloney world of academia. I know teaching in a private high school that has high standards might not be the solution, but I’d like to give it a try. How do I go about seeking jobs in this field?

college? Please include any websites that have reading lists. What classics are important, what fiction? what other? Thanks

and for a book report i have to make a non fiction book review. how do i make a book review

I need to read a fiction novel of my choice in order to fulfill my summer reading requirement. I don’t know any good books at the moment, so could you suggest some? Listing books that are interesting and hard to be away from, but also showcase some deep and meaningful conflicts and ideas would be extremely helpful. Basically, I just want a good book that is both interesting, and school-worthy. I like any kind of book, so just throw them out there! Thank you! ;)
