When writing romance, put aside any cynical thoughts and focus instead on innocent dreams and memories from your youth because capturing that all important innocent essence is vital when trying to portray that spark of attraction between two of your characters. Writing romance can add sparkle to a scene or indeed, depth to a character and as it can encompass different layers for your characters, it provides glimpses of the person you are trying to create. Writing romance scenes can be fun for the writer too and it can help the story or novel to sell, because romantic fiction is hugely popular in these stricken financial times.

We all like escapism. Readers may want a story which has a semblance of gritty realism but they also want stories of hope, laughter and romance. Fiction needs to have aspects of true life so that readers can relate to it and interlacing romantic moments can produce feel – good factors throughout. When writing romance just remember that it does not all have to be hearts and flowers and over the top romantic gestures to make it work, in fact, depending on the type of fiction that you are planning to write, it can have variations of romance which either carry or support the story as it unfolds.

Romance can also add much needed obstacles to the story and these add weight to any storyline and draw the reader in. Obstacles work in a variety of ways because they add depth to the characters and to the storyline but they also take the reader on a voyage of discovery and leaves them wanting to know whether the obstacles were finally overcome. Using obstacles to prevent the romantic liaisons from progressing also works incredibly well and the actions of the characters involved then start to reveal a great deal about their personalities going forward.

Of course, if writing a short story, word count is going to be limited greatly and so the writer must know exactly what the story is about and also how much romantic content it will contain. Finding the relevant starting point is also important and writing a compelling opening paragraph essential.  All readers secretly want a happy ending in some shape or form, it doesnâ??t have to be that the romance works as long as there is some hope that it has worked out for the best or perhaps within those final paragraphs, there are hints of a better alternative as the story closes. Sometimes leaving out some information and avoiding finalising the story down to the very last detail can have the readerâ??s imagination soaring as they being to perceive those characters as three dimensional entities and start to think about the plot, how it progresses and ultimately ends.

Romantic interludes work well. The writer does not need to write intense or heavily erotic scenes if they feel uncomfortable with that, instead they can suggest a positive intensity between their characters by well-crafted dialogue and descriptive scenes. When writing romance, it is essential to provide dark and light elements to vital scenes and allow the reader to convey the subtle influences within the text.

Today, many corporate workers are making the switch from the long hours of commuting and office tedium to work-at-home jobs. One of the simplest and most readily available of the many home work opportunities is that of article writing. Article writing is the process of preparing interesting and informative articles that are placed in various article directories for the purpose of providing information to web searchers. The article directories serve as centers for bringing people to business web page where further information can be found.

Article writing can be on any related subject to the specific business or web site. If the article presents new information on the subject or alternatively, presents the information in a way that brings out important details, it can be considered a successful piece of article writing.

Choosing a subject for article writing can be unnecessarily stressful to some web site owners. However, if the web site owner does some searches using any of the major search engines, there should be ample subjects around which to build an article or series of article. You can choose a subject by looking at synonyms for your major keywords. Let your imagination rule and play some word association games.

Another way to select subjects for article writing is to visit related forums and look at the types of questions that are asked and answered on forums. You can write articles based on some aspect of the subject with which you are familiar. It is important that the subject be one you know and that you are interested in developing, or your article will come across as one-dimensional and dull.

If you are a web site owner who doesn’t enjoy the task of article writing personally, you can hire the work done through one of the freelance providers that are available on the internet. Finding a service provider is relatively simple and the pay rates are very reasonable.

If you are ready to take the steps to become a service provider in the home work opportunity of article writing, it is important that you be a person who is a self-starter. You can enjoy the sensation of having no boss telling you what to do and when to do it. You can eliminate the long, costly, time-wasting and inefficient commute from home to the corporate workplace. You will save the cost of fuel and also the other costs associated with working away from the home.

In addition to being a self-starter, those who want to enter the field of article writing should be prepared to complete articles on a deadline and according to the guidelines set by the client. It is important to be able to express your ideas clearly in writing, with impeccable spelling, grammar and punctuation efforts.

For those who are looking for someone to provide article writing, why not consider using a business or individual dedicated to providing personalized articles quickly. Experienced writers understand the concept of using interesting articles to add to the traffic that visits a specific website.

Why do people buy non-fiction books? Most readers buy books to solve problems or help with fulfilling a need. For example, when I started speaking for a fee I went out and bought a couple of popular books about speaking. Browsing in the bookstore, I was attracted to Lilyan Wilder’s book “7 Steps to Fearless Speaking” I read the back cover. I noticed she could help with 7 easy steps. I skimmed the table of contents, read a few lines and immediately liked her easy to read style. It went in my purchase basket.

Because I wanted to hear from several authorities on the subject, I picked up another book by Nido R. Qubein, “How to Be a Great Communicator: In Person on Paper, and on the Podium.” His cover design was white with clean lines and a personable picture of him on the front. His style of writing was not as easy to read but it still went in my purchase basket as well. Which brings us back to my original point; people buy non-fiction books to solve problems. To identify your targeted market, pinpoint a problem they have and the solution of course.

Problems come in all shapes and sizes. Usually a general category problem applies to all types of markets.

HOBBIES. Is your tennis game, golf game, bridge game as good as you’d like? Are you considering taking up horse-back riding? Want to improve your computer skills? What ever the case may be, your desire to improve or change your level of performance is considered the problem.

HEALTH. The first thing you do when your doctor diagnose your cholesterol is high and you need to lose 20 pounds. You go look for a book that will walk you through step by step to lose weight or lower cholesterol. You turn to someone that has solved the problem to learn from their experience.

MENTAL STATE. Are you feeling stressful about the economy? Are you noticing unexplained physical symptoms possibly related to stress? Once again, you have a problem and you are looking for a solution in book form. Someone who has outlined easy steps or ways to de-stress in our society.

PERSONAL FINANCE. Worried about lay-offs, down-sizing, retirement? Books that offer financial solutions to economic problems during shaky times are guaranteed to succeed.

MARKETING. We live in a competitive society. Small business owners and managers everywhere need a growing database of customers and clients. Therefore, they seek out how to books that offers solutions on improving their advertising copy, improving their business image or their website.

Each of the problem categories describes a problem and a need for a solution. The main goal of your marketing plan is to identify the problem your book solves and then present the solution. The more intense the problem and the easier you can make your solution, the more readers will seek out your book.

Your task becomes to re-structure your knowledge into bite-size reader solutions. Appeal to the masses, by letting them know what’s in it for them and how easy the solution is with your book. For example, let’s consider the book title I mentioned earlier about speaking. The title could have been: “How to Overcome Your Fear of Speaking” instead of “7 Steps to Fearless Speaking” The latter is more appealing because it alludes to only 7 steps to my solution.

Don’t put it off any longer. If you wait, you can be this time next year without fulfilling your dream of writing a successful book. You have the solution. Now write it down. While you’re at use the tips above and write a book that sells well. Make it different. Make it count. Make it yours.

Will my book pass or sell in a crowded book market?” Good question. You want to know. I want to know. We all want to know before we invest our time, effort and most of all our money. Here are a few tips to help you know if your book will just pass or sell well before you even write it.

Give your idea or your book manuscript the test of significance. Write your book to meet at least 2-3 of the areas listed below to attain significance in the book market place. To make sure your book passes the test of significance, does it offer:

1. Original, different information. Have you wondered what makes a new diet book sell well even when there are scores of diet books on the market? The author presents their unique set of successful diet rules, their exercise program, their perspective, their testimonials and their credentials. They use original, different information for the same results.

2. Expert advice to a specific group of people. Target a group of people within your broad market. For example, the Chicken Soup series for Teen-Agers, Mothers, even Prisoners sold much better that the original more general Chicken Soup for the Soul.

3. Inspire people to do something good. Weave inspiring stories into your book and sell more. The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership spent 18 straight months on the Business Week Business Best Seller List. Dr. Maxwell started each chapter with a short story of a famous person successfully using the chapter’s law of leadership.

4. Solutions to your audience problems. Get this right and you could have a best seller. Do you know the solution to a vexing problem? Write the solution in your book. You might be surprised at who’s searching online for a little relief.

5. Entertainment, humor or fun. Do you have a talent to make people laugh? Use it in your book. Provide a little oasis of escape for your readers. People love it when you entertain them. Intertwine funny stories into your non-fiction manuscript. Entertain them, make them laugh; they’ll love you for it. Best of all, they will have fun telling all their friends about your funny book.

6. Greater understanding of life. Have you been gifted with a deep understanding of life? Put small excerpts of your understanding throughout your book. Sprinkle your quotes along with other famous philosophers or world thinkers within your book.

7. Success experiences that motivate your audience to do more, give more or share more. Share your experiences to motivate your audience. Share how you overcame seemingly insurmountable challenges in your field. It will motivate your audience to think if you did it; they can do it too.

8. Specific skills and information. Thousands of people search for specific information daily. They want simple to read and easy to understand information. Seek to educate your audience; include engagement tools in your book. Help them make more money, cut costs or solve their problems. Examples include: online assessments, how to tips, short reports, resource lists, how-to tutorials, dictionary of terms in your field, etc.

9. Opportunity to learn something new or interesting. Sprinkle your book with little know interesting facts about your topic. Be careful to avoid information overload with pages of detailed statistics. But if you sprinkle them as morsels throughout your book, you create anticipation that will lead your readers through to the end. People love statistics and bite-sized trivia about just about any topic.

10. An easy to read style to learn about something. Take a complex subject in your field and make it simple. Most people enjoy an easy reading language. They will not only reward you by reading to the end but your readers will be happy to tell all their friends about your insightful easy to read book.

Are you ready to start writing your top selling non-fiction book yet? Did your book idea pass the test of significance in at least two areas? Great! Now that you know your book is significant, go ahead dream big. Don’t hesitate any longer. Start today. Your audience is waiting for your unique ideas and viewpoint to help them. Make it different. Make it count. Make it yours.

One of the most profitable businesses on the Internet is information marketing. Even though there is more information than ever in the world, people are looking for specialized solutions. That’s why they are willing to spend money on a quality information product that provides them those solutions.

If you are looking to get into the information marketing arena, then here are 3 tips for writing ebooks like hotcakes:

1. Choose a starving market that is looking for products to buy. Which market would you like to target? There are three kinds of markets that buy products like crazy: the home business opportunities market, the health market and the hobbies market (people who have rather obsessive hobbies).

2. Write a killer title for your ebook if you want it to sell like wildfire. A killer title can make all the difference in terms of sales. Writing a curiosity-inducing yet benefit-rich title is sure to get buyers in droves!

3. Write content that beats the market to a pulp. Don’t just rewrite what others are already writing about. Add in something original to your ebook. If you provide high quality information in your ebook, your customers are much more likely to buy from you again in the future. Remember, repeat customers are far easier to sell to than new customers!

Follow those 3 ‘guidelines’ and you will surely go a long way to making it in this ebook business. Because, make no mistake, it is a competitive landscape out there, and if you want to make serious profits, you have got to provide real value to your customers to gain their trust and their money.

Do you want to tap into sales letter writing tips that rocks? Of course, you do. Why else would you land on this article, right? :-)

Okay, so, let’s get started on some ideas to write an effective sales letter because time is of the essence if we’re going to get you to outshine all the other sales letters out there.

Follow these simple steps that I’m about to share with you and you’ll be well on your way to making this happen – Guaranteed!

Let’s say we play a little game, shall we?

Alright, if I were to snap my fingers and make the world’s greatest copywriters appear right before us, I can almost bet that every single one of them would tell you that the thing that will help you to outshine others in your sales letter would start with the headline.

If you don’t have a strong headline then it’s going to be hard to get people to give your letter the attention that you’re desirous of.

So, that means one should spend as much time as possible on creating a headline that is full of STAR power. The kind of headline that will find itself in the ‘headline hall of fame’, if there was one.

Keep this in mind: most people are too busy to spend too much time reading a sales letter, so, if you want to get them to read yours, then you’re going to have to convince them to give you that chance.

Once your headline grabs their attention, your job is not done. Now, you must work your way down the rest of the sales letter copy so that your prospect will continue reading or you will lose them forever.

I’m giving you sales letter writing tips that you can take to the bank. I hope you’re taking good notes!

Alright, where was I? Ahhh, yes.

Make it your business to establish your credibility from the start of the sales letter. Add a nice touch of the following: testimonials, screen-shots, and strong case studies, in order to build their confidence in you and what it is that you are selling.

Remember, people don’t like to be sold to, but they like to buy. I’m telling you this because I want you to understand that if you do a great job in the arena of building credibility and adding the elements that I mentioned earlier, you won’t be able to STOP your prospective customers from snapping up everything that you’re offering.

As you walk away from this article, I’m hoping that the following ideas to write an effective sales letter that I’m about to reveal to you gets deeply engraved into your brain.

Hmmm. I bet you’re all filled up with great excitement and anticipation as you wonder what these ideas are, correct?

Okay – without further delay, here they are:

When writing your sales letter copy you want to be sure that it has inside of it a super-duper-crystal-clear call to action because if it doesn’t have this, then you’ve done yourself a major disservice and wasted so much time, my friend.

Here is an example of a call to action: “Go to Salesletter Copywriting to claim your mystery gift!” I know there are much better ‘call to actions’, but I wanted to leave you with some idea of what it looks like.

You took the time to write a dynamite sales letter with the intent on persuading your prospects to buy your stuff, so, why would you not tell them what you want them to do next?

I think it’s safe to say that you want a certain action to be taken, right? Then you’d better say so. And again, be very clear about what you want to see happen.

Here are some more sales letter writing tips:

If you want your sales letter to be a winner, be genuine and authentic in your sales letter copy. Let your dazzling personality shine through. Also, make sure to paint and give a solid idea of just how professional you are.

I’m assuming that you want to be respected in your profession, and if that’s the case, then you’d better proof-read your sales letter a million times over. If none of these ideas to write an effective sales letter sticks with you, make sure you grab onto this one and take hold of it for dear life.

Read my lips:

Do you think it’s not such a big deal to thoroughly review the sales letter copy once it’s done? Well, guess what one of the greatest copywriters who ever lived would tell you?

Psst – the clue is in the sentence below.

It must NEVER leave your desk (or wherever it is that you write it!) unless you’ve gone over it with a fine-tooth comb.

Hire someone to help you, if at all possible.

You are a fish dead in the water if you don’t follow this advice that I’m sharing with you here. Oh, your sales letter will stand out alright, but it won’t be for the reasons that you’re hoping for!

Have you heard of hypnotic writing? Well, in a nutshell, this is when you get people so incredibly sucked into your sales letter copy that they are almost in a trance and don’t even know that they are.

This is the kind of seduction you want to see happening when your prospective customers are reading your sales letter. Quite frankly, the more of a trance that they’re in, the more of their attention you will be able to hold on to. And this is good.

Why?

It gets the sale, ca-ching! Don’t lose sight that you’re writing for THEM, that you’re sharing all the ways in which you can help to remedy their pain. Keep that in mind as you’re putting down your writing.

Oh, and how could I forget to tell you about adding graphics, audio, and/or video into your sales letter. This is the 21st century, the last time I checked! (smile)

We have become so spoiled as internet surfers. It’s almost as if we EXPECT to see these elements in everything that we click on.

Wouldn’t you agree?

Well, the truth is this: most people want an enjoyable experience when reading, so, if you can give it to them and enhance their time, it will be good for you in the long run.

As you may already know, there are far too many distractions that could take their focus away and you sure as a hay-stack don’t want that, right?

We’re now coming down to the close of this sales letter writing tips article and I hope you’ve learned quite a bit about things you can do to write a sales letter that sells like hotcakes fresh off the grid. Or is the term: “griddle?”

That said, be sure to add a P.S. in your sales letter copy because studies have reported that most readers will scroll down to the bottom of the sales letter to check out the postscript (P.S.) before they even review the words in the body of the letter.

Yep, imagine that, eh?! C’mon, admit, you do it, too.

Reinforce your ‘call to action’ in order to move them in a subtle way into taking the very action that you want them to take. I say to do it in a subtle way but truth be told, this isn’t etched in stone as some kind of rule that you must follow.

I just want you to keep in mind that if you do it in a subtle manner, then your prospects will feel that they were the only one involved in making the decision to take the action.

As the teaching goes: ‘People hate to be sold, but they love to buy.’ And you know what? They will keep buying and buying like it’s going out of style if they believe that the decision to buy was solely theirs and not coming from some pushy, used car sales person, yuck!

Who likes those people?! Oh, kidding. (smile)

Writing sales letter copy is a great skill to have and it will definitely challenge you as you’re growing in your studies of it.

If you learn how to write effective sales letter copy, then you really are well on your way to writing your own paycheck because you hold the key to getting people to whip out their wallets.

Did I just hear the cash register go: ca-ching! ca-ching!

Follow what I’ve shared with you in this sales letter writing tips article and make a decision that you will continue in your studies.

And, listen, as tempting as it may be for you to NOT take these ideas to write an effective sales letter seriously, fight hard to keep the focus. Continue on the path of learning how to write effective sales letters, as it will set you free financially and give you the life of your dreams.

STOP! Pay Close Attention Right Now.

Listen very carefully. Take 2 minutes to read the next page. You will discover a simple, yet, powerful and paint-by-numbers, formula that guides you to write an effective sales letter.
