Ditto… what Dad said. We can’t promote sites on here unless it’s related to a specific question being answered. It might be a good idea to read the Community Guidelines. You will see that some actions are taken legitimately based on those guidelines.

music should come from the hart and have an outcome, what is your goal and what do you want to achive? the lyricks apears to be self centred – all about you, as a signature it is self explanatory what you think and feel about your self but consider what effects it will have 10 years down the line if you take your career seriously and how will ppl enterparate the message sent.

Question: Are works of fiction, “just fiction” as some say, or are there always real ideas behind fictional stories?

I totally agree and feel the people who say this kind of thing don’t really understand literature.

Answer:

Answer by Persiphone_Hellecat
An author always has a meaning or a reason for writing a novel or any work of fiction – and there are always the author’s ideas behind the work. That is like asking if a magician really does magic or is it just illusion.

Question: What are some themes to the movie, “Pulp Fiction”?
I’ve watched the movie in class and now I have to write a paper on it.
I just don’t understand any of the themes.
All I see is a bunch of violence and drugs.
May you please supply me with at lest two themes with example from the movie.

Answer:

Answer by Sterling
Karma is the common theme in all of the vignettes … “What goes around, comes around”. Another is inter-connectivity … “When a Butterfly Sneezes”. All of the scenes have connections.

What a great movie. It’s in my top ten all time favorite list.

Question: I’m looking for some “math fiction” books, as opposed to “science fiction.” Any ideas?
I’ve already read Flatland, and already know about some of that books “sequels.” Something similar to those might be nice, or any other ideas you might have. Thanks :-)

Lifted from the gift list of titles relating to physics (for our son), which might serve your purpose:

The End of Mr Y by Scarlett Thomas. Quantum physics, time travel, you name it…

The Iron Bridge by David Morse; dystophic time-travel attempt to change the beginning of the Industrial Revolution in 18th century England.

The Witches of Chiswick by Robert Rankin: In an alternate timeline, Tesla teams up with mathematician Charles Babbage and create a highly advanced version of the 19th Century. Tesla’s perfection of wireless energy transfer combined with Babbage’s computer programming enable the pair to create autonomous robots, airships, and space-bound rocketships.

The Prestige by Christopher Priest: Tesla invents a device resembling the magnifying transmitter, but it succeeds in transmitting not just energy, but matter. The problem is that, while the machine transports matter to another location, it leaves the original matter behind, creating duplicates of objects, animals, and even human beings, with their memories intact.

Note that I haven’t read any of these, just copied down people’s recommendations. But who knows, maybe one of them will be perfect for you, eh?
