My friend Sheed asked me to ask this question. He is having trouble dealing with his English teacher who is not allowing him to read college level books, adult books that aren’t fiction, or anything else that is above his level though he has proven many times that this is enriching and enjoyable to him. She is somewhat unaware of his situation though she has seen documentation of his extremely high IQ, and that he shows on a daily basis that everything is too easy. He tries to do projects and other activities above his grade level or even highschool level, but she doesn’t like to accept that he can do these things and is reluctant to change her teaching plan to 1 for her class and 1 for him as apposed to keeping him at a low level. She says why does he make B’s in my class if he is so smart. Since he is not allowed to read higher level books for credit, he chooses not to read kids fiction books from the school library. So how does he change his teacher being ignorant to helping him?

I’d love to teach it. I’m active in fiction writing groups and something tells me it would serve me well to act in an instructional capacity too. What credentials do I need?

I go to Columbia College and I want to switch my major from Fiction Writing to French. They don’t have French at Columbia, so I am applying elsewhere. Is it okay to ask my french teacher at Columbia to write me a recommendation letter for another college?

i want a fiction story

I am 13 nearly 14 and in school my teacher will not let me read anything unless its teen fiction. Stephan King alright that’s fair but Wilbur Smith, Bernard Cornwell, Tom clancy i mean come on. Is this fair?
