Question: According 2 legend, the angels never had “free-will”. Most say Lucifer was an exception. Is there text backing
up that belief? I mean of course legitimate religious text, not “fiction” that has woven itself into the legend like Dante’s Inferno or Paradise Lost.

Hi, this legend is nothing more than a legend. When Lucifer fell and became Satan he took a third of the angels with him that also chose to rebel against GOD, Rev 12:7-9. GOD didn’t create anyone without a freewill. That would go against HIS very nature as HE is love, 1Jn 3:16. ~GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU INTO ALL TRUTH~

Question: Are there actual “Talking Rings” like in the movie; “The Time Machine”?
I am referring (of course) to the older movie about “The Time Machine” made in 1960. I am just curious if there has ever been anything like or even only similar to the “Talking Rings” in real life. Very novel idea. . but then- That’s what “Science Fiction” is.
This is what I am referring to regarding the “Talking Rings”- & I am wondering if there ever has been or maybe even is something like this?

Question: Is there ANY way I can download the old “Science Fiction” theme from Microsoft?
I think I had this Science Fiction theme when I had Windows 98. The screen saver was very bizarre. It had 3 (or 4?) of these weird flying things that absorbed into each other. The background was sort of a reddish, orangey planet landscape. Does ANYone remember this? And if so, how can I get it again? I now have Windows XP home. I thank you in advance!

Answer:

Answer by John Mahowald
It seems to be a part of Microsoft Plus! for Windows 98.

I doubt you will find this at retail, so might start looking on eBay or other auctions. Or find somebody giving it away, Windows 98 was a while ago.

You might find it available for download somewhere as abandonware, which assumes that Microsoft has no further interest in the old software. I’m not sure of the legality of this though.

Question: What exactly is “historic fiction”? And is there a market for it out there?
A market for it, like if the story has a love-story as a subplot and stuff like that?
Thanks for your time

Answer:

Answer by Patti R
The movie script “Titanic” is historic fiction. Fictional characters as the main characters – may interact in a fictional way with actual historical figures and the story generally takes place during a time of historical significance. Other examples: Cold Mountain, GWTW, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Great Escape, Pearl Harbor (the movie).

Big market if it’s well researched, and well written with a twist that hasn’t been done before.

Good Luck.

Question: Are works of fiction, “just fiction” as some say, or are there always real ideas behind fictional stories?

I totally agree and feel the people who say this kind of thing don’t really understand literature.

Answer:

Answer by Persiphone_Hellecat
An author always has a meaning or a reason for writing a novel or any work of fiction – and there are always the author’s ideas behind the work. That is like asking if a magician really does magic or is it just illusion.

I read several books when I was a teenager (fiction) that I don’t know the author of but would like to find again. These books would be 25-30 years old. I realize there are so many books published out there that have been published by obscure and unknown publishers, but the books I’m looking for were checked out from my local public library. Does anyone know where I could start?

It’s a dream sequence:

A heavy tide of mist and fog, flowing like waves, caressed the young woman lightly in a comforting blanket of gentle wind. She drifted weightlessly in a state of euphoria and warmth, her long burgundy hair floating freely about her delicate face.

(NOT SURE WHAT TO PUT HERE), hearing soft piano notes playing faintly in the distance. It was an enchanting song, though indescribably haunting in nature, as if the person playing longed for something.

Soon, she breathed in the scent of fresh earth, and the soothing melody of piano notes was joined by the steady fall of rain. The fog thinned, though didn’t lift entirely, revealing a hillside on which stood a small cabin.

Okay . . . would you be able to tell it’s a dream sequence if I hadn’t said so? What do you think of the style in general? What should I put before the piano music? What word can I use besides “weightlessly” – it’s just so technical. Tell me what you think.

Thanks!
