Question: Are these electronic cigarettes for real?
I keep seeing ads for this American Blue Tip electronic cigarette, claiming (1) there’s no tobacco, (2) there’s no harmful chemicals, and (3) you can use it in public places.

I tried doing some research online to get more proof on whether or not there are chemicals (for either the smoker or in the air for secondhand) and also if it really would be allowed in public places. Granted, I searched “American Blue Tip”, not “electronic cigarettes”, but every site that popped up was a positive review that sounded like it was written by the same professional marketer that wrote the TV ad.

So, what’s the deal here. Are these claims true? It’s supposed to just be water vapor, right? So how can smokers get the same “fix” that they want from a regular cigarette? And is there really no harm to others who are nearby when someone smokes one of these things?

Some links to websites with your answers would be appreciated.
READ THE QUESTION! I know they exist, I’m asking about the claims they make.

Answer:

Answer by Amy P
They are real. I saw them at a kiosk at the mall where I live (San Diego). I can’t remember what they were called, but I glanced at the cash register and the last amount that was rung up was $ 200. I don’t really know anything else about it, but there may be some cartridge or something you put in it for the nicotine. I’m totally guessing on that, but it seemed logical.

Question: I was thinking of including these quotes in my novel. Are they too stupid or would it be OK?
I wanna make my main character, Jocie, to be likable. Funny, clever, and sarcastic, so it would be fun to write about her, but are these quotes good for that? How should I change them? Opinions?

Jocie: “Who is that?”
Tori: “Oh, yeah. That’s Oliver. My dad hired him as assistant manager. He’s cute, isn’t he?”
Jocie: “I kind of want him Oliver my bod. Is that bad?”

Jack: “Hey, Jocie…”
Jocie: “Oh, uh, hi.”
Jack: “Wanna go out with me?”
Jocie: “Are you serious?”
Jack: “Um… Yeah.”
Jocie: “Sorry. No. I’d rather be spelunking.”

Harry: “Hey. You must be Jocie? I’m Harry Cox.”
Jocie: “Harry Cox? You can’t be serious.”
Harry: “I am.”
Jocie: “Woah, I’m so sorry. Your parents must be cruel.”

Jocie: “Is it fun being a demon? You probably always win ‘Best Costume’ on Halloween, right?”
Oliver: “One of the rules is that we can’t reveal our true form to anyone.”
Jocie: “Bummer… When do I get to see it? ”

Jocie: “Um, Jack, I thought you were with Tori? Or did that relationship just fly over my head?”
Jack: “She’s not you. Every time I look into your eyes, I just get so lost. I feel like I need a map.”
Jocie: “I’m sorry. What brand of “cheesy jackass” are you? So I know never to buy it.”

Jocie: “Hey, hey, hey, Tori! Been missing for awhile, eh? I thought you, like, evaporated or something.”
Tori: “I was only on vacation for a week.”
Jocie: “And such a long week it was…”

Jocie: “Hey, where’s the tip?”
Guy at table: “Oh, I’ve got a tip for you: Don’t do drugs!”
Jocie: “Thanks… I’ll try to keep that in mind. Seriously. Where is it?”
Guy at table: “You’re not getting one, pretty girl.”
Jocie: “Are you joking or do I have to stick my foot up your ***?”

Jocie: “Hey, Ollie. Is it just you or is it hot in here?”
Oliver: “No? What are you doing, Joc?”
Jocie: “Breaking the ice. What, is it not working?”
Oliver: “Hah, sadly, it is.”

Rinn: “Sometimes I just think I am acting like such an idiot…”
Jocie: “You think right, my friend.”
Her name isn’t Joice. It’s Jocie. Nickname for Jocelyn.
Yeah, I was afraid she was gonna seem bitchy. I’m gonna try to fix that.
When people are sarcastic, they always seen so much like jerks, but the people that she is mean to pretty much deserve it. Like, Jack is a total jackass and broke her best friend’s heart (that’s why I named him Jack) and she was having a bad day when the guy at the table refused to give her her tip.
and she’s joking with Rinn because she’s her friend, too…
Thanks all for the constructive criticism. First, I was gonna write her introverted, but then I made her too outgoing and kinda bitchy. I’m fixing it now. When I first wrote this, I had the voice picked out in my head where you could definitely tell she was joking and being “lovable”, but then I read it again after reading the answers, and now I realize how she came across.
I’m gonna keep the quotes, but make sure that she seems only mean to the people that she’s supposed to be mean to, sticking up for herself or her friends. When she’s be sarcastic with her friends I’ll add giggles or/and “Just kidding, sweetie.” so she won’t seem like a bitch.
Oliver like “all over”. A stupid cliche… her being sarcastic… Sometimes it’s hard to tell through writing.
AND the Harry Cox bit, I’m gonna make her apologize after he says, “I am.” and he laughs and says, “I know. My parents aren’t cruel, though. Unfortunate accident.”

Answer:

Answer by Daddy’s Baby Girl
thy’re kinda corney
~~~Daddy’s Baby Girl~~~
Writing articles is easy once you learn how. There are plenty of simple strategies to use to write content rich articles that communicate your marketing message. These articles also add value to your product offerings and give your potential customers a taste of what you offer.
If you want to write articles that get read though, there are certain things you need to do:
1. Use short paragraphs.
When Ernest Hemingway was a reporter for the Kansas City Star, he learned to write short words, short sentences, and short paragraphs. This is good advice for writing on the internet because readers tend to skim.
2. Use numbers or bullets for your major points.
Not only can bullet points help you focus your article so you stick to the subject, it’s a fast and easy way to outline your articles. It makes writing your articles fast and easy.
Again, because readers skim, they pick up the salient points of your article. Make sure your resource box points your readers to more information. This will increase your conversions and help you get more subscribers and sales.
3. Use sub headings to break up paragraphs.
If you are writing an article for your website, or the article is unusually long, then use sub headings to break up your article into sections. You may even consider using sub headings and breaking your long articles into multiple pages.
4. Craft an attention getting headline or title.
Before you use any title for your article, do a search in your favorite search engine to make sure it’s not being used. This will allow you to more easily track the syndication of your article.
You also want to write a title that gets your reader to read the article. Study article titles, as well as headlines and use what you learn to write your titles. Look for titles that make you want to read the article.
5. Keep your readers interested.
Writing a good title is only the first part. Your next step is write content your readers want to read. Tips, tutorials, recipes, and problem solving articles are always a good way to keep your reader engaged.
6. Use specific statistics or statements for added punch.
Avoid using things like some, many, or all. Statistics add punch to your articles. It’s also a great way to get readers back to your site for more information. Also use numbers instead of the words for numbers as this makes your article easier to read.
Keep your articles short and to the point. Use these tips to get more readers for your articles, and you’ll get more targeted traffic.
A website for non profits is important because they help many worthwhile causes. There are a few similarities between a traditional website and a non profit website. The URL’s are usually the biggest difference; traditional sites end with .com and non profits usually end with .org. A non profit site tends to need a few extra features because they don’t typically sell a product. They need to be able to effectively obtain donations as well as other services. Below are just a few of the features that your non profit website could benefit from.
When designing a website for non profits there are a few features that can be added to enhance the overall success of your site. Having a link on each page of your site where visitors could make a donation is a great feature to add to your site. Adding a donation tracker can help you account for donations when you have an event or fundraiser and because non profit sites are so dependant on donations it is great to keep trak. Running a website for non profits is similar to running a traditional website.
Your non profit organization can have an awesome website that is clear and to the point about what you do and what your goal is with help from an experienced website design company. Having a list of current and upcoming projects or events that is kept updated is a great feature for your website so that you can get the volunteers or donations you might need before your event. It is important to have great communication with volunteers and staff members about events because communication is a big key in running a website for non profits.
When designing a website for non profits, these are a few of the things to consider. Your site can be headed in the direction you want with so many different features you can add to your site. Finding a company to help you design your site is a good idea and in most cases, the design company will offer a discounted rate to a non profit website because they understand that they are very dependant on donations. Ask for help when designing your website; plenty of companies would be willing to help your website become established in exchange for promoting their own website.
Unless you inherited your job or were offered a position through the courtesy of a friend or family member, chances are pretty high that at some point or another you had to write a curriculum vitae. If so, then you have probably had to seek out resume writing help from some source.
Perhaps it was from an instructor in school, or you took your advice and tips from online curriculum vitae resources. Resume writing tips are out there and most are easily understood. Once you know the differences between the types of documents, you will be on your way to resume distribution and the all-important interview.
There are a few different types of resumes from which to choose. The type you will use depends largely on your work experience and your education. First, there is the Chronological curriculum vitae. It is just as it sounds.
It is one that goes by dates and is best used when you are looking to showcase your dedication to your career. If you have had multiple jobs in the past, then this type is not for you. To write an effective resume, you must choose the best style for your circumstances.
Number two in the resume writing category is the Functional variety. Here are some resume writing tips for this form. You want to focus more on your skills. This is a curriculum vitae to use if you have had multiple jobs.
It is designed to focus more on the knowledge you have acquired over the years, along with applicable job skills. However, you will still need to write down the dates and duration of each job, along with your previous employers.
The final type of curriculum vitae is the Combination. It is exactly as it sounds. It is a combination of the Functional and Chronological resume. Use this style if you have been in one career and intend to keep pursuing jobs in this career path. It will list your past work experience and the skills you have acquired, along with detailed information about the typical day-to-day job duties you have performed.
Writing a curriculum vitae is not as difficult as you may think. Once you understand the differences between the three types, you can find plenty of resume writing tips on the internet or your local bookstore. If all else fails, then you may need to hire a curriculum vitae writer or find a friend who can help you with your task, or simply write it for you. Just gather your information and provide him or her with the details.
